Mobile Tyre Fitting in Stoke-on-Trent

Stoke-on-Trent, the A500 D-road and the M6 - 24 hours a day.

Stoke is six towns rather than one, strung along the A500 — known locally as the D-road for the shape it traces between the M6 junctions. Almost everything here relates to that road.

Roads we get called to around Stoke-on-Trent

  • A500 D-road — the spine, connecting M6 junctions 15 and 16 through the middle of the conurbation.
  • M6 junctions 15 and 16 at either end.
  • A50 — east towards Derby and the A38.
  • A53 and A34 through the towns themselves.

The D-road

It carries motorway volumes without always being built to motorway standards, and the junctions come thick and fast. If you stop on it, the safest thing is to get as far left as possible and then get out and away from the carriageway.

Because the junctions are close together, tell us the nearest one and your direction — on a road this shape, "on the A500" alone could put us several miles away.

A good share of what we attend at junctions 15 and 16 is people mid-journey rather than local. If you are a long way from home and discover the car has no spare, only a sealant kit, be aware that sealant handles small tread punctures and nothing else. Before we arrive


  • Find your locking wheel nut key. Without it the wheel cannot come off. It is usually in the glovebox, the boot well, or with the spare.
  • Read your tyre size off the sidewall, for example 205/55 R16 91V, so we arrive with the right tyre rather than making a second trip.
  • If you are on a motorway or dual carriageway, get out on the passenger side and wait behind the barrier — not in the car.
