Mobile Tyre Fitting in Middlesbrough

Middlesbrough, the A66 and the A19 - 24 hours a day.

Middlesbrough is industrial Teesside, and the road network reflects it. The A66 runs east to west through the town on an elevated flyover, and the A19 crosses it to the west.

  • A66 — through the town centre on the flyover, and west towards Darlington and the Pennines.
  • A19 — north towards Sunderland, south towards York.
  • A174 Parkway — the southern route towards Redcar.

The A66 flyover

Elevated sections are the worst places to stop: narrow, exposed, and with nowhere to get away from traffic. If you feel a tyre going as you approach, come off first. If you are already on it and the car will still roll slowly, get to the end of the elevated section before pulling in.

Industrial roads and tyre damage

Heavy industrial areas are hard on tyres. Site entrances collect debris, and kerbs and ramps designed for lorries will damage a car sidewall without much effort. A bulge in the sidewall after a hard kerb strike means the internal cords have broken — that tyre needs replacing regardless of tread.

  • Find your locking wheel nut key. Without it the wheel cannot come off. It is usually in the glovebox, the boot well, or with the spare.
  • Read your tyre size off the sidewall, for example 205/55 R16 91V, so we arrive with the right tyre rather than making a second trip.
  • If you are on a motorway or dual carriageway, get out on the passenger side and wait behind the barrier — not in the car.
