Mobile Tyre Fitting in Doncaster

Doncaster, the A1(M) and the M18 - 24 hours a day.

Doncaster is a road and rail freight town. The A1(M) passes to the west, the M18 to the east, and the M180 heads off towards the Humber ports. A great deal of what moves through here is commercial.

Roads we get called to around Doncaster

  • A1(M) — north and south along the western side.
  • M18 — connecting the A1(M) to the M1 and on towards the Humber.
  • M180 — east towards Scunthorpe and the ports.
  • A630 and A638 into the town, plus the distribution parks and the airport.

Freight, and what it leaves on the road

Roads that carry this much heavy traffic collect debris — wire from tyre carcasses, banding, fragments off trailers. It is the most common cause of the punctures we attend here.

The upside is that debris punctures usually produce a clean penetration in the tread, which is the repairable category provided it is in the central portion and the tyre has not been driven on flat. See the repair rules.

  • Find your locking wheel nut key. Without it the wheel cannot come off. It is usually in the glovebox, the boot well, or with the spare.
  • Read your tyre size off the sidewall, for example 205/55 R16 91V, so we arrive with the right tyre rather than making a second trip.
  • If you are on a motorway or dual carriageway, get out on the passenger side and wait behind the barrier — not in the car.
